Can't get web pages or e-mail though dialed into your ISP. Here is Microsoft checklist for TCP/IP failures and DNS resolution issues for Windows 9x. The article also links to several other useful TCP/IP or WSOCK32.DLL fixes. TCP/IP commonly causes the inability to get web pages and e-mail though online.
